BobCAD-CAM V25 Build 996 Release
BobCAD-CAM V25 BobART Pro Module
 BobCAD-CAM is proud to
introduce the new BobART Pro Module for BobCAD-CAM V25, the next level of artistic design for manufacturing. Many new features have been added
that take BobART Pro to a whole new level of creativity and production.
- The new Wrapped Emboss feature allows user to create cylindrical or wrapped models from flat art models
- New Emboss from Component feature and Save As Component features work in combination allowing users to create, reuse, and share their art
models. Users now can easily load, position, scale these models to create more complex signs, jewelry, wood work, and other artistic models
with ease!
- The ability to remove the non-embossed area of the art models has also be included to aid in the creation of art components and wrapped
models
- The new Custom Cross Sections allow users to draw their own cross section shapes for use with the Emboss Regular, Emboss Swept, and Emboss
Texture Weave features.
- The number of levels for colour vectorisation has been increased to 64 to allow for more accurate vectorisations of raster images
- The ability to suppress and unsuppress items in the BobART Tree has been added to allow users to have items temporarily removed from the
model without having to delete or recreate the item later
BobCAD-CAM V25 Mill Express
The Mill 2-Axis module has been redesigned to become the Mill Express module. The Mill Express module includes:
- All Mill Hole drilling CAM strategies
- All Mill 2-Axis toolpath strategies excluding the high speed adaptive pocketing routine
- 3-Axis Slice Planar toolpath strategy for 3D machining
- Ability to create Rectangular stock using the Stock Wizard
- As well as all other standard Mill functionality!

CAD
- The ability to delete points has been added to the Quick Trim function
CAM
- Fixed incremental coordinates being output as absolute coordinates in some situations
- Fixed spiral material entry being output opposite to the selected direction
- Updated the Mill Scripting Function Reference topic in the Help system
- Fixed system compensation being incorrectly applied to flat bottom chamfer tools
- Fixed Output Rotary Angle and Arc Fit parameters not being displayed in the Posting page of some milling wizards
- Fixed a Can’t Normalize Null Vector error displayed as a result of improper toolpath creation
- Fixed a problem with the software not allowing the selection of a line using Sync with Main Direction for a Swarf milling feature
- Fixed the Peck setting being reset when editing a centre drill feature
- Fixed the Advanced Posting page not working for the Mill 3-Axis Engrave feature
- Fixed a refresh issue in the 4-Axis Rotary Wizard Feature page
- Fixed the loss of assigned (milling) feature geometry after using the Rotate function
- Fixed not being able to assign laser/plasma/waterjet tools for Multi-axis features
- Fixed a bug with the Advanced Rough in some pocketing situations
- Fixed the improper display of toolpath in simulation in certain situations
- Fixed the Clearance Plane not being used in simulation
- Fixed large K values being output in the code for G18 and G19 arcs when using Slice Planar
- Fixed an issue with parts being stacked in Nesting, causing leads to gouge parts, in some scenarios
- Fixed machine compensation not being properly displayed in simulation for chamfer tools
BobART
- The Emboss from Surface/Solid feature now includes a Use Surface Position option
- Assigned geometry is now retained when using Re/Select for Emboss features

- Fixed machine definition templates creating incorrect default direction vectors

Posting
- Fixed mill function MILL_GetArcAngleDegrees() returning radians instead of degrees
- Added the tool_name and tool_label variables, and the MILL_Get_ToolType() function for the tool change and post block 110

- Fixed an issue launching Mach 3 from BobCAD-CAM x64 systems
- Fixed Advanced Posting – PostName.CustomEngraveVector – not being output in the 3D Engrave feature
Simulation
- Fixed invalid collision pair error in standard simulation when using Toolpath Mode
- Fixed an issue with the taper tool not simulating properly
- Fixed an issue with the T-cutter not being positioned properly in simulation
- Fixed various simulation issues (indexing, accuracy, tools)
System
- Fixed shortcut keys not being saved in a non-administrator Windows user account
- Fixed .STL files being imported using the Settings Part unit instead of the Settings Default unit
- Fixed incorrect button labels in Print Preview
- Fixed a crash when selecting Print Preview immediately after opening a file
Help
- Fixed search problems in the Help system caused by invalid single-letter shortcut keys being created
- Added some missing Simulation help topics
- Updated the Mill Scripting Function Reference topic in the Help system
BobART
- Fixed an issue with importing Vector files in BobART
- Fixed an issue with the Edit Image Using Paint command in BobART
BobNEST
- Fixed drilling cycles not being posted to nested geometry in BobNest
- Fixed Nesting programs simulating without any stock
- Fixed some systems crashing when computing a toolpath using Part in Part (PIP)
- Fixed Nesting error Can’t Normalize Null Vector being displayed when selecting a tool that is too large

Special Note: By updating your early version of BobCAD-CAM V25 Mill Express &/or 3-Axis Standard & PRO to this new Build you
will receive the new Adaptive Roughing for 2-Axis Pocketing. 4-Axis Standard customers will now have 4-Axis rotary toolpath.
For Windows XP 64-bit systems, only 32-bit is supported. The installer places the 32-bit version of BobCAD-CAM on these systems.

PLEASE NOTE: Before updating your BobCAD-CAM software your video graphics card drivers must be up to date.
At the beginning of the installation the system will attempt to install several required Microsoft support files. If your system already has these files or newer files
installed a dialog will appear telling you that the files will not be installed. Clicking OK in the dialog that appears will allow the installation to continue. |
