You must be connected to the Internet, If no Internet connection is available use the manual update method below.
Step 1. Insert the dongle key to be updated into the USB port
Step 2. Launch BobCAD-CAM
Step 3. Click the Help menu and then click Upgrade License. A dialog will appear showing
serial number, tag and password
Step 4. Click the Update Online button. This should complete the update process. You will get a message that says
"Update Successful"
That's It. If the online update fails try the manual update method below.
Manual Update
ONLY USE IF THE ONLINE UPDATE FAILS OR IF YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE
INTERNET.
Step 1. Insert the dongle key to be updated into the USB port
Step 2. Launch BobCAD-CAM
Step 3. Click the Help menu and then click Upgrade License. A dialog will appear showing
serial number, tag and password
Step 4. Write down the serial number, tag and password
Step 5. Send an email to keys@EDASolutions.co.uk
In this email be sure to include your company name or your name, phone number, serial number, tag and password from the previous step
Step 6. You will receive back an email with the license attachment
Step 7. When you receive the email with the license, open the email and save the attachment
Step 8. Launch BobCAD-CAM
Step 9. Click the Help menu and then click Upgrade License
Step 10. Click the Browse button on the dialog (this is the button with 3 dots […])
Step 11. Locate the attachment that was saved and click on it, then click Open
Step 12. Click Update. This should complete the update process, you will get a message that says "Update
Successful".
